It’s a bit hard to believe we’re now celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the beloved everyman who just can’t catch a break tv series, The Drew Carey Show, but here we are!
For the first time ever, all nine seasons of The Drew Carey Show: The Complete Series are available in a boxed set distributed from Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. As well, fans can digitally purchase the show from AppleTV, Fandango at Home, Amazon Prime Video, and Youtube! And to cap off the 30th Anniversary celebration, lifelong fans and newcomers alike can laugh out loud with Drew and friends shenanigans on the Official Youtube Channel for The Drew Carey Show, which launched May 13th!
Premiering way back in 1995, The Drew Carey Show of course starred comedian, actor, author and TV star Carey himself in the titular role, with his pals Lewis (Ryan Stiles), Oswald (Diedrich Bader) and Kate (Christa Miller) as they negotiate everyday work-life, love-life, and get-through-life scenarios, with heart and a whole ton of snark! Nine seasons of show gives us all sorts of wacky situations for Drew and his friends to navigate through, many of which, hey, they got themselves into in the first place! The show boasts cameos from all the Whose Line Is It Anyway alumni – Greg Proops, Colin Mochrie, Wayne Brady, just to name a few, and a ton of celebrity cameos, often with the actors playing themselves, everyone from Rush Limbaugh and Carol Channing all the way to Heather Locklear and even Donald Trump himself!
Note the following 4 special episodes are not included in the collection: Drew’s Dance Party Special, Drew Carey’s Back-to-School Rock ‘n’ Roll Comedy Hour Parts 1 & 2, and What’s Love Got to Do with it? Some of the musical compositions in certain episodes have also been replaced or altered from their original broadcast versions. And the previously released Life Inside the Cubicle special feature from the Season 1 DVD of The Drew Carey Show is included in the box set.
