At Granny’s House is surprisingly a good movie. It starts out a little slow, but it builds the characters up so you know who you are dealing with throughout the movie. The movie takes place in the small town of Haley. Marion Rogers is Granny (Glenda Morgan Brown) lives in her house alone, since her husband had died. Her son Frank Rogers (Bryan Watts) has decided it was time for her to get a live-in assistant.

With plenty of interviews they finally agreed to one particular candidate, Rebecca Torrance (Rachel Alig), who tries to change things in the house, and Marion doesn’t like it one bit. Then Rebecca quickly tries to warm up to her by giving her the things that she wants. Since this has happened Rebecca had a great idea to rent out a room in the house to strangers (because that will go over well with just about anyone). The fun starts to begin, with the Granny being clueless as to what is going on in her very own house.

As you may have guessed, killings start happening in this house of “Granny” and since she is beginning to show the signs of dementia, she doesn’t realize what is going on. There are different plot twists to the movie that will keep you hooked from beginning to end. This movie was released back in 2015, and has been on video on demand for quite some time now.

The acting is pretty good with this movie, with music composed by Thomas “Spaz” Hill II. He brings an atmospheric sound to this movie that clash together quite well. The sound editing and engineering job is pretty spectacular to say the least. The movie comes together very well with a Hitchcock style story and it is very well written. If you like Indie scary movies then you should like this film a lot.
