‘American Made’ is a movie that resides in the 80s. A TWA pilot named Barry Seal (Tom Cruise) flies the plane and smuggles Cuban cigars on his trips. He is a daring pilot and at one point he makes it so that the passengers pass out and have to use oxygen on the plane. The

People start take notice of his daring adventures while being a Pilot, most notably the CIA who wants to hire him for a much more secret operation for them.  He eventually convinces his wife Lucy (Sarah Wright ) that working for the CIA was the best thing for their family.

This movie is very intense and entertaining at the same time, with the fast action pace of the story of Barry Seal, and he really did do runs for the drug lord Pablo Escobar (Mauricio Mejíav) of the Medellín cartel.

The movie was written by Gary Spinelli and directed by Doug Liman (Edge Of Tomorrow, Jason Bourne) and the script fits Tom Cruise perfectly. The Other actors such as Monty (Domhnall Gleeson), who is the CIA agent that recruits Barry to do the jobs for them.

The soundtrack fits the movie perfectly,  with songs from bands like Walter Murphy & the big apple band – A fifth of Beethoven, Linda Ronstadt, Townes Van Zandt – Black Widow Blues, and even Hooked On Classics Flight Of The Bumble Bee (I used to own this album when I was a child) and more.

I would give this movie a chance and it deserves a 4 out of 5, it is worth sitting through, and there is never a dull moment.  The movie broke even at the theaters, with a $50,000,000 budget, it made about 134.9 million in profit.
