Welcome to the first stop on the Robotech convention tour 2026, featuring Robotech mainstays Tommy Yun and Dexter Odani, from Harmony World USA. Tommy is creative director and current producer of Robotech, writer/artist for Wildstorm Speed Racer and the current Robotech comic book. Dexter Odani was at Harmony even before Yun, having the dubious distinction of being the one and only Robotech intern, working for the late Carl Macek, original creator of the Robotech series.

Robotech was 40 yrs ago and it’s been really hard to track down all the VHS episodes, DVD Box sets are hard to track down too, but Crunchyroll has collected it all on streaming on their website. So it’s much easier to watch every single episode of Robotech than it’s ever been.

All 85 episodes of Robotech streaming worldwide excluding Japan in HD on Crunchyroll. And Crunchyroll did finally release Robotech on Blu-ray, which is something fans have been asking for for ages. Robotech the Sentinels too, so for those of you who missed that short Robotech continuation in 1986, you can now watch it on Crunchyroll. And Robotech Shadow Chronicles, the other continuation, is now on Crunchyroll too. And all episodes of Genesis Climber Mospa as well. No Macross of the Cross yet though, working with distributors and territories and such, to get that sorted.

Limited collection helmets by Reflex Collectibles, and these are actual size so you can wear them, and these are available on reflexcollectibles.com. These are full size for cosplay, we did have someone come by the booth and ask if they could use it as a motorcycle helmet, it hasn’t passed those particular safety protocols, but it is made for cosplay.

Tracking down the Kumiko comics from the 80’s has been a real pain in the butt, even now trying to find them all on Ebay has been an arduous task. One thing to add about the original Kamiko run is that Robotech helped catapult from an obscure third party comic publisher, to become number three in the marketplace behind Marvel and DC, just based on the strength of Robotech alone.

We’re working with a newer comic company to bring you classic and newer Robotech stories, and they are Titan Comics. Including their more recently published comics, ROBOTECH Rick Hunter, going into the backstory of Rick Hunter after the first Robotech war. And for those of you who miss seeing the Robotech novels, Titan is putting them back into print, and also omnibus editions, in sets of three and each one is a trilogy, in case you’d rather not buy every single individual novel.

As for toys from Toynami, we have Cyclone figures, including Lancers and exotic Blowsperior armor. And in larger scale, they have the YR-52F Noble X-Class. Also if you guys remember the giant meter-tall toys from way back, Toynami did these giant scale reboot figures in the old Shogun Warrior scale. You can actually see them at the Toynami booth, if you visit booth number 837. Only in battle mode, these toys are not transformable.

We’re also working with threezerohk.com and they started off with the VF1J. It’s a diecast metal frame, so you don’t have to worry about breaking them with the slightest mistake in the transformation process. There’s a Roy Fokker version, and a Max version and a Mirror version – each sold separately.

For the music of Robotech, old LPs and even CDs were getting harder and harder to find. We went for 2 discs for the 20th Anniversary, 3 for the 30th, and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger, and now we have the 40th anniversary. Nobody really collects CDs much anymore, but this record company we’re working with, Enjoy the Ride Records, they specialize in vinyl. So people who want clean digital can stream it, and collectors can get it on big LPs.

Back when we first had our RPGs coming out, they went through Palladium Books if you remember those. We have a new role playing publisher we’re working with, Strange Machine Games, and right now they’re shipping Robotech the Macross Saga, for $60. They also have an expansion called Robotech Homefront, it continues the lore into the robotic masters and new generation eras.

In May of 2025, Harmony Gold and Crunchyroll attended the Las Vegas Licensing Expo and began negotiations for a video game license for Robotech. And early this year, negotiations were concluded, and a deal was signed. We’re proud to have some of the folks involved from corp.joycity.com with us here today, especially Danny Nos, senior director at JoyCity, to help announce this new game – Gunship Battle Total Warfare and Robotech combined! And we have a projected target launch for summer of 2026!
